Profound Depths

I was expecting a lot; not only from the now, sadly, rare absence of the phrase ‘visionary director’ in the film’s marketing, but in the prospect of seeing the year’s only release not starring Natalie Portman. I hotly anticipated both the latest work of a great mind, and the application of 3D technology by said great mind.

I was, however, disappointed.

Here Herzog and his team explore the caves which, until relatively recently, have been hermetically sealed for over thirty thousand years.
